Ortiz y Perera Abogados, S.C. (hereinafter, "ROC Abogados"), with offices located at Bosque de Radiatas # 18, 6th Floor, Colonia Bosques de las Lomas, Alcaldía Cuajimalpa, Mexico City, 05120, is responsible for the processing of your personal data.

ROC Abogados, in accordance with the principles of legality, consent, information, quality, purpose, loyalty, proportionality, and responsibility, provides this Privacy Notice (the "Privacy Notice") to outline the terms and conditions for the processing of personal data, in compliance with the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, the Regulations of the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, the Privacy Notice Guidelines, and any other applicable regulations regarding personal data protection (the "Law").

Depending on the nature of the services requested, we may process one or more of the following categories of personal data: identification data, contact data, financial and/or asset data, tax data, demographic data, and employment, academic, and professional data.

ROC Abogados may process information of third parties (in their capacity as representatives, proxies, signatories, or other persons involved with our services) that is provided to us by you. Before providing us with such information, you are obligated to make this Privacy Notice available to said third parties and obtain their consent so that ROC Abogados may process their personal data for the purposes informed herein. By providing us with such data, you imply that you have complied with the foregoing.

In its ordinary operations, ROC Abogados does not collect or process sensitive personal data for the provision of its services. In the event that ROC Abogados were to process sensitive personal data, such processing would be limited to what is strictly necessary for the provision of legal services, implementing security measures and complying with all provisions established by Law for this type of data.

ROC Abogados will process personal data solely for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice and in accordance with the Law.

1. Primary purposes

The following purposes are necessary for the existence, maintenance, and fulfillment of the legal relationship between you and ROC Abogados, as well as for the proper provision of the requested professional services:

• providing consulting, advisory, and legal representation services;
• drafting legal opinions and other documents related to the contracted services;
• compile, manage, update, and safeguard physical and electronic files;

• comply with obligations provided for under applicable law;

• control access to our offices and protect the safety of clients, visitors, and staff, including maintaining video surveillance systems in common areas; and
• manage the use of our website.

2. Secondary purposes

Additionally, and provided you do not object, ROC Abogados may process your personal data to:

• share technical publications, articles, and analyses prepared by ROC Abogados;
• send invitations to academic or professional events;
• inform you about new practice areas or professional services;

4. Transfers

Your personal data may be disclosed to authorities, public notaries, specialized advisors, or third parties designated or authorized by you when necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, to maintain or fulfill a legal relationship, contract, or legal obligation, or when permitted or required by applicable law.

5. Data Subject Rights

You or your duly accredited legal representative may exercise your rights at any time to: (i) Access, Rectify, Cancel, and Oppose (“ARCO Rights”), (ii) limit the use or disclosure of your data, (iii) revoke, where applicable, the consent you may have granted for the processing of your personal data, or (iv) express your refusal for the processing of your personal data for purposes that are not necessary or that did not give rise to the relationship with ROC Abogados. To do so, you must submit a request addressed to the ROC Abogados Personal Data Department via email at: privacidad@ortizabogados.mx.

For ARCO rights, the request must contain: (i) the name of the data subject, their address, and email address for receiving notifications, (ii) documents verifying the identity of the data subject or, where applicable, the authority and identity of their legal representative, (iii) a clear and precise description of the personal data for which you seek to exercise any of the rights, except in the case of the right of access; (iv) a description of the right you intend to exercise or what the data subject is requesting, and (v) any other element or document that facilitates the location of the personal data. For rectification requests, the requested modifications must be indicated and supported by the necessary documentation.

ROC Abogados may request additional information if the information provided is insufficient or incorrect, or if the necessary documents are not attached. In such cases, we may request, one time only, within 5 (five) business days following receipt of the request, that you specify the missing information or documentation, with a period of 10 (ten) business days to fulfill said requirement.

ROC Abogados will notify the data subject of the decision made within a maximum period of 20 (twenty) days from the date the request to exercise ARCO rights was received, so that, if applicable, it may be implemented within 15 (fifteen) days following the date the response is communicated. The aforementioned periods may be extended once for an equal period, provided the circumstances of the case justify it.

For requests to exercise the right of access to personal data, delivery will proceed upon verification of the identity of the data subject or their legal representative, in the requested format, provided it is feasible, and subject to payment of any applicable reproduction or shipping costs.

6. Changes to this Privacy Notice

ROC Abogados may modify or update this Privacy Notice, which will be communicated via email or through this website. Additionally, if required by law, your consent will be obtained again.
